Job DescriptionJob DescriptionTekni-Plex's Winston Salem location is hiring for an Ink Technician to join Tekni-Plex's largest facility within the Consumer Products division. Ink Attendant is responsible for maintaining inks, adhesives, primers and lacquers for the press department.   • Schedule: 3rd Shift (10:45 PM - 7:00 AM) - 2/2/3

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Make needed inks; adhesives; primers and lacquers required to run machines.
  • Use PC to charge material to machines.
  • Return unneeded material to inventory.
  • Maintain daily housekeeping duties.
  • Identify hazardous waste and dispose in correct hazardous waste containers.
  • Manage waste or waste containers in satellite areas.
  • Label containers with an indication of the hazard(s) in the contents.
  • Inspect satellite areas to ensure good condition of waste containers.
  • Place hazardous waste in the correct storage location at the designated time according to RCRA regulations.
  • The Company maintains the right to revise and/or add duties in response to business requirements.

Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma or equivalent
  • Previous manufacturing experience is highly preferred 
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs in a repetitive or continuous fashion. 
    • Ability to move a 400 lb drum using a hand truck
