ER RN Travel Nursing Contract in Fort Myers, FL

Location: Fort Myers, Florida
Position: Emergency Room Registered Nurse
Contract Length: 13 weeks (ASAP Start)
Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM
Facility Type: Level 2 Trauma Facility with 73 Beds

Job Overview:
Join our team in Fort Myers, FL, as an Emergency Room Registered Nurse. This position is ideal for experienced RNs looking to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced emergency department that serves patients of all ages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality emergency care to patients in a level 2 trauma facility.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess and treat patients in critical conditions.
  • Maintain effective communication with patients and their families regarding care plans and procedures.
  • Float to other sister campuses as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of ER experience in hospitals of similar size and acuity required; prior travel experience preferred.
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, ENPC, and PALS certifications are required.
  • Education: Degree accreditation must be included in the profile.
  • Skills: Strong critical thinking, adaptability to float, and effective communication skills.

Patient Ratios: 3-4 patients per nurse.

Additional Information:

  • Schedule: NO block schedule; required to work 2 out of the 4 main holidays.
  • EMR: Epic.
  • Culture: Travelers are welcomed into the units and are expected to function as core staff members.
