Job Description

In this role, you will work in a warehouse environment processing orders and moving boxes of files, books, binders, backup tapes, and other materials. The work is very physical and requires manual lifting, carrying, and arranging of boxes while standing, stooping, crawling, kneeling, and twisting. You must be able to lift and carry boxes ranging in weight from 10-40 lbs on a regular basis. Additionally, you will need to load and safely operate hand trucks and pallet jacks for transporting materials. This is a physically demanding job in a plant environment.

Responsibilities
  • Process orders and move boxes of files, books, binders, backup tapes, and other materials.
  • Manually lift, carry, and arrange boxes while standing, stooping, crawling, kneeling, and twisting.
  • Lift and carry boxes ranging in weight from 10-40 lbs on a regular basis.
  • Load and safely operate hand trucks and pallet jacks for transporting materials.
  • Handle confidential documents securely.
Essential Skills
  • Experience working in a warehouse.
  • Ability to lift boxes up to 70 lbs.
  • Familiarity with operating a manual pallet jack.
  • Experience with filing documents.

  • Inventory management.
  • General labor skills.
  • Material handling.
  • Experience with RF scanners.
  • Packing and picking skills.
  • Loading skills.
  • Clean driving record (advantageous for advancement opportunities).

Work Environment

The position is based in a warehouse environment that is non-climate controlled and can be dusty depending on the workload. Think of a large paperwork/physical data storage facility. It is a fast-paced environment where teamwork is essential.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portland, Oregon.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00
