Principal Scope and Duties:
Loadscan has been selling in the US through a distribution for 7+ years and is now opened a 
new USA subsidiary. The primary purpose of the US subsidiary is to build customer 
relationships, develop sales and provide customer service and support to the North
American customer base.
This is a significant sales position within the company and will involve working with the 
internal team, other managers, and outside contractors to increase sales opportunities and 
maximise revenue for the business. To achieve this the Business Development and Sales 
Specialist will need to understand market share, find and gain access to potential new 
customers, present to them, ultimately convert them to clients and continue to grow 
business in the future.
While the exact responsibilities will vary, the main duties include, but are not limited to:
• Contribute to the development of the company strategy as it relates to
abovementioned industries and carry out sales and marketing activity planning and 
deployment accordingly.
• Research relevant industry organisations in target markets and identify potential 
clients and the appropriate contact persons and decision makers within the client 
organisation.
• Use knowledge of the market and competitors to identify and develop sales and 
business development opportunities.
• Work with the broader team to develop relevant Texas marketing and sales 
collateral.
• Prospect for and develop professional relationships with potential new clients to 
enable the presentation and sale of Loadscan products.
• Foster and maintain strong professional relationships with existing customers to 
maximise the sale of existing products, as well as new products and services that 
Loadscan may develop or distribute.

• Organise sales trips and other planned activities to make the most efficient use of 
Loadscan resources to set up sales meetings (and product demonstrations as 
necessary) with the key decision-makers and influencers within targeted businesses 
that have good potential to purchase Loadscan products.
• Plan approaches and pitches; work with the team to develop key value propositions 
that speak to the client’s needs, concerns and objectives.
• Work with the Managing Director, Sales and MKT Leads, LLC VP and HR Portfolio 
Lead to determine market feasibility and resources required to support market 
entry.
• Work collaboratively with Loadscan’s technical, production and support staff (and 
any other internal colleagues as necessary) to ensure customer needs are met and 
that products and services are delivered in accordance with customer expectations.
• Respond to prospects enquiries and RFPs. Carefully investigate customer needs and 
the situational requirements of sales projects/installations. Generate quotes and 
prepare written proposals that deliver on customer requirements whilst meeting 
Loadscan’s business objectives. Negotiate agreements and contracts with sales 
prospects.
• Attend industry functions and trade events and provide feedback and information to 
Loadscan about markets and trends.
• Analyse and measure results of your initiatives with the view to continually improve.
• Submit progress reports and ensure data is accurate.
• Forecast sales targets.
• Continually add new customers and prospects to the Loadscan industry 
database/CRM.
• Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support.
Professional Development:
• Assume responsibility for personal and professional/work education and 
development.
• Maintain and/or extend knowledge and skill base required for effective 
performance.
• Identify any learning needs.
• Negotiate with Sales Lead to attend appropriate education and training.
• Participate in own performance review.

Reporting Relationship:

Skills and Qualifications:
• Proven background of successful sales and business in relevant industry.
• Strong commercial acumen and selling skills. Able to sell to senior management.
• Experience in technology sales and reasonable level of IT knowledge
• Organised and structured approach to work planning.
• Corporate presentation and strong presentation skills.
• Able to manage conflict and competing tensions.
• Ability to build rapport.
• Able to make critical decisions and handle stress.
• Strong written communication skills (Highly competent in writing of proposals, 
quotes, submissions and presentations).
