Virtual School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Location: Ohio, United States (Remote)
Job Type: Fulltime, Work From Home Contract
Pay: $45+/Hour

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our virtual school team in Ohio. As a Virtual School SLP, you will play a vital role in providing speech and language therapy services to students in an online learning environment. This position offers a unique opportunity to deliver personalized support to students while leveraging technology to facilitate effective communication and learning outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' speech and language abilities.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) based on assessment findings and student needs.
  • Provide virtual speech and language therapy sessions to students using a variety of online platforms and tools.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other members of the student's educational team to support academic and communication goals.
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Provide guidance and support to teachers and parents on strategies to promote speech and language development in the virtual learning environment.
  • Stay current on best practices, research, and developments in the field of speech-language pathology.


Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Valid Ohio license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
  • Prior experience working as an SLP in a school or educational setting, preferably in a virtual or online environment.
  • Strong understanding of virtual learning platforms and technology tools used in teletherapy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Dedication to providing high-quality, evidence-based speech and language therapy services to students of all ages.
  • Ability to work independently and manage caseload efficiently in a remote setting.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
