Job Description
Candidates will be working on databar units, power panels, and small mechanical power distribution units. The openings are in both the mechanical and electrical areas. Candidates may be in the mechanical (busway and tap off box assembly department) or electrical department. Responsibilities include assembling small units, reading and interpreting mechanical and electrical drawings, fastening, drilling, attaching, and assembling/building complete units. Perform control wiring throughout the individual units if in the electrical area. All candidates should be adaptable to general labor duties as assigned, including stocking, inventory, or unwrapping raw materials. Candidates must work at a production pace to meet daily unit goals. Good job tenure and reasons for leaving are important.
Hard Skills- 1-3 years of assembly or similar experience using hand/power tools
- Proficient in reading tape measures
- Bonus experience in reading blueprints or schematics
- 1 year of wiring experience (hobby, school, or professional)
- Mechanically inclined
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings
- Adaptable to general labor duties
- Good job tenure and reasons for leaving
This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 4 Month(s).
Work SiteThis is a fully on-site position in Henrico, Virginia.
Work EnvironmentVery clean and newer manufacturing facility. Brand new building constructed and completed in 2020. The building is 250K sq ft with new departments being added for fabrication, welding, machine operating, painting, etc. High ceilings, very clean, heated, well-lit, and recently installed fan and cooling units. Shift: 4:00pm - 12:30am but train on day shift from 7:00AM - 3:30PM with optional overtime hours Monday - Friday / occasional work on Saturdays.
