Key Responsibilities:

  • Student Support: Provide individual and group counseling to students dealing with social, emotional, and behavioral challenges to enhance their overall well-being.
  • Assessment and Intervention: Conduct assessments to identify student needs and develop personalized intervention plans that support academic and social success.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, parents, and other school staff to develop a prehensive support system for students, ensuring effective munication and collaboration.
  • Crisis Intervention: Respond to student crises and provide immediate support and resources, helping to ensure a safe and supportive school environment.
  • Program Development: Create and implement programs that promote mental health awareness, resilience, and positive social skills within the school munity.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) or a related field is required.
  • Licensure: Current licensure as a Social Worker in New Jersey is essential.
  • Experience: Previous experience working in a school setting or with children is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong munication, empathy, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and families.
  • Approach: A student-centered mindset focused on promoting social and emotional learning and supporting diverse student needs.
