LHH is partnering with a client in the Overland Park, KS area, who is seeking a Payroll Clerk. The Full-Cycle Payroll Clerk will be responsible for managing all aspects of payroll processing, including calculating wages, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and maintaining accurate payroll records. This role requires a high level of accuracy, confidentiality, and the ability to handle sensitive information.

Responsibilities:
  • Process bi-weekly or monthly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Calculate and verify hours worked, overtime, bonuses, and deductions.
  • Maintain and update employee payroll records, including changes in salaries, tax withholdings, and benefits.
  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports and statements.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues and resolve discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to ensure seamless payroll operations.
  • Assist with year-end payroll processes, including W-2 preparation and distribution.
  • Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a payroll clerk or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of payroll processes, tax regulations, and labor laws.
  • Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Job Details:
Job Title: Payroll Clerk
Location: Overland Park, KS
Schedule: Monday-Friday (8am-5pm)- fully onsite
Compensation: $50-65,000 annually
Job Type: Contract to Hire
Benefits: PTO, Holiday Pay, 401K, Health, Dental, Vision, STD/LTD
 

Pay Details: $50,000.00 to $65,000.00 per year
