Blazer Jobs is seeking an experienced and dedicated Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) for a full-time, school-based contract position in Wilmington, DE. This role provides a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the educational experience of special education students by delivering expert behavioral analysis and support. Key Responsibilities

  • Behavioral Assessment: Conduct comprehensive functional behavior assessments (FBAs) to identify the causes of challenging behaviors and develop individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) tailored to each student's needs.

  • Intervention Development and Implementation: Design and implement effective behavior intervention strategies, ensuring these interventions are consistently applied and adapted as necessary based on ongoing student progress and feedback.

  • Collaboration: Partner with teachers, school staff, and families to ensure a cohesive approach to behavior management. Provide training and support to educators and parents on effective behavior management techniques and strategies.

  • Data Collection and Analysis: Maintain accurate records of behavioral data, monitor student progress, and analyze data to make informed decisions and adjustments to behavior plans.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all behavior interventions and practices comply with local and state regulations and adhere to best practices in applied behavior analysis (ABA).

  • Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with the latest research, techniques, and best practices in ABA.

Requirements

  • Certification: Must hold a current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification.

  • Experience: Significant experience working with special education students and their families is highly preferred.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Must meet all local and state regulatory requirements for practicing as a BCBA in Delaware.

  • Skills: Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
