Job Description

The Maintenance/Electrician position is responsible for all aspects of maintaining equipment in a manufacturing facility environment. The tasks for this position include but are not limited to; electrical troubleshooting, advanced preventative maintenance, machining skills on a lathe and a mill would be a plus along with knowing PLC programming and having the ability to weld.

Responsibilities
  • Work with production supervisors to schedule tasks so as to not interfere with normal production
  • Know and adhere to OSHA and NEC electrical code
  • Be knowledgeable of basic machine-shop processes
  • Coordinate work with co-workers as necessary
  • Communicate problems and/or concerns with supervision prior to having an impact on production
  • Assemble/fabricate projects as directed
  • Provide feedback to supervisor concerning issues pertaining to production equipment
  • Work extended and unscheduled hours as required in order to meet deadlines
  • Mandatory travel is required as needed to support the facility
  • Must be able to meet all essential functions of the job based on the ergonomic analysis
  • Support all other departments as required
Essential Skills
  • Possess above average verbal and written communication skills
  • Be hands on, self-motivated, possess a high degree of initiative and understanding of product quality
  • Be proficient in blueprint reading and shop mathematics
  • Follow directions explicitly and can thoroughly document changes required in a formal manner
  • Electrical troubleshooting
  • Advanced preventative maintenance
  • Machining skills on a lathe and a mill
  • PLC programming
  • Ability to weld
  • Electrical experience within manufacturing
  • Knowledge of motors and drives
  • Ability to work on low voltage control circuits, sensors, etc.
  • Ability to work with high voltage for power to machines
  • Mechanical abilities related to bearings, shafts, gears, hydraulics, pneumatics
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • 2+ years of Industrial Maintenance experience
  • Knowledge of motors and drives
  • Ability to work on low voltage control circuits, sensors, etc.
  • Ability to work with high voltage for power to machines
  • Mechanical abilities related to bearings, shafts, gears, hydraulics, pneumatics
