Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated HR Generalist to join our team in Newburyport, Massachusetts. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing various human resources functions, ranging from recruitment and hiring to compliance with labor laws and employee relations. Responsibilities:
• Oversee the recruitment process, including screening of applicants and facilitating the hiring process for open positions
• Conduct background checks and verify employee eligibility
• Implement and manage an effective onboarding process for new hires
• Administer and execute a variety of human resource programs, including compensation, benefits, and leave policies
• Respond to employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, escalating complex or sensitive issues to the appropriate staff
• Ensure the company's compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
• Stay current with changes in employment law and work with HR team members to update policies accordingly
• Collaborate with the CHRO to manage the performance review process and provide coaching to managers on giving constructive feedback
• Maintain workplace safety standards and manage any incidents or accidents that occur on-site
• Keep accurate records of employee information, including attendance, performance, and legal compliance documentation
• Manage the offboarding process when an employee leaves the organization, including conducting exit interviews to gather feedback and ensure proper handover of responsibilities.• Proficiency in ADP - Financial Services
• Experience with ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode
• Knowledge of Benefit Functions
• Excellent Communication skills
• Strong understanding of Compliance in HR settings
• Proven experience in Employee Relations
• Familiarity with FMLA regulations
• Ability to effectively manage Recruiting processes
• Experience in Onboarding new employees
