Position: Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)
Location: Dekalb, IL
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

Your Impact:

  • Role: Full-time position in a dynamic and nurturing school environment.
  • Setting: Onsite, providing essential speech therapy services and IEP support.
  • Focus: Supporting students from elementary through secondary levels (K-12) to achieve their communication goals.
  • Hours: Standard school day hours, offering a balanced work-life schedule.

What You'll Do:

  • Assess and Plan: Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments and develop individualized therapy plans.
  • Intervene and Support: Implement therapy sessions tailored to each student's needs, both one-on-one and in small groups.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with teachers, parents, and school staff to support each student's development and progress.
  • Monitor and Adjust: Track and document student progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary to meet evolving needs.
  • Engage: Provide engaging and effective therapy sessions under the supervision of an SLP.

A Day in the Life: Start your day with a warm welcome from your colleagues and students. Your mornings might include conducting assessments or therapy sessions, each tailored to address the specific needs of your students. During lunch, collaborate with teachers and parents to discuss student progress and strategies. In the afternoon, youll focus on additional therapy sessions, documentation, and planning for future activities. At the end of the day, you'll feel accomplished knowing you've made a meaningful impact on your students lives.

What Were Looking For:

  • Licensure: Valid licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in Illinois.
  • Experience: Previous experience in school settings is preferred, but Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates are welcome.
  • Skills: Ability to connect effectively with diverse student populations, strong communication, and organizational skills.
