Job Description

Our Client is your go-to supplier for abrasives, blasting, coating, safety, dust collection, abrasive vacuums, rental, safety, and water jet products all throughout the US. Our Client is looking for motivated MIG welders to join the team on 1st shift in Davenport, Iowa You will perform all types of welding, cutting, and fabrication of steel parts in both a production and R&D environment. You will work with formal drawings, sketches, or concept development while maintaining high safety standards. You will be capable of the fabrication and welding of both production and new product prototypes in a safe and effective manner through the effective use of tools, assembly equipment, fixtures, and material handling equipment.

Hard Skills

• Welding certificate, diploma, or degree highly preferred
• 2-5 years of experience in fabrication and welding environment minimum
• Ability to read and work with blueprints and sketches on a daily basis(not an entry level position)

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Davenport, Iowa.

Work Environment

Smaller team of 20-30 people total. Darker, dirtier environment in certain places. Run-down building in some places. Multiple buildings in Davenport on the same street. No micromanaging, each welder has their own work to get done. Not production welding - lots of opportunity to learn different things and weld on a variety of work.
