If you have a fire for ensuring communication accessibility and empowering students who are deaf or hard of hearing, this opportunity is for you

In this remote position, you'll play a vital role in:

  • Breaking down communication barriers: Provide seamless sign language interpretation for classroom instruction and various school activities.
  • Fostering inclusion: Collaborate with educators and staff to create a welcoming environment for all learners.
  • Championing student success: Partner with the educational team to ensure students with hearing impairments thrive academically and socially.
  • Upholding high standards: Adhere to ethical guidelines and confidentiality in all interpreting assignments.
  • Promoting lifelong learning: Continuously develop your skills through professional development opportunities.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Masters the art of ASL: Fluency in American Sign Language is essential.
  • Holds relevant certifications: EIPA (score of 3.5+), RID, and NIC (preferred).
  • Thrives in collaboration: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are key.
  • Embraces teamwork: Ability to work effectively with educators and staff.
  • Has a heart for students: A passion for promoting accessibility is a must.
