Collections Specialist Greenville, SC

Responsibilities:
• Monitor and assess the condition of a portfolio of accounts to prioritize work according to objectives.
• Perform account analysis to identify trends, problems, and root causes of ongoing issues and develop solution plans to improve the situation for both the company and the customer.
• Create weekly work plans that include customer calls, emails, and correspondence based on account status, execute these plans, and document progress towards these plans through account notes and status updates.
• Work cross-functionally to gather information and expertise to address issues identified with customer accounts.
• Negotiate within assigned scope of authority, either individually or as part of a team, to resolve problems with favorable outcomes for both the company and the customer.
• Perform account reconciliations, daily credit hold/releases, monthly statement and/or dunning letter processing, recommendations for bad debt write-offs, and suggesting accounts for credit limit reviews.
• Respond to customer inquiries on accounts regarding billing discrepancies or payment disputes.
• Perform account maintenance activities, resolving short-pays, chargebacks, credit memos, and payment application issues.
• Support other collections staff with research requests, invoice reprints, data gathering, and related tasks.• Proficiency in Customer Service and Communication skills
• Experience in Sales and Reporting tasks
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Familiarity with Planning and Invoice processes
• Knowledge of Payment Processing and Research methods
• Experience with Billing Functions and Planning Processes
• Understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR) and Email Correspondence
• Familiarity with About Time software and Collection Processes
• Experience in managing Correspondence and tracking Progress
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation and writing Financial Notes
• Ability to work with Stakeholders and Execute planned tasks
• Capability to Resolve Issues related to Customer Account and Dispute Resolution
• Knowledge of Release Process.
