Job Description

Seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead and manage workplace safety, environmental compliance, and health initiatives across operations. The EHS Manager will develop, implement, and oversee programs that ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other federal, state, and local regulations. This individual will work closely with leadership and employees to foster a safety-first culture and ensure a healthy and environmentally responsible workplace.

Pay

$85,000 - $120,000 Annually

Job Duties

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations (OSHA, EPA, Cal/OSHA, etc.).
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections of facilities, operations, and equipment to identify hazards, risks, or non-compliance.
  • Develop and submit required reports, permits, and documentation to regulatory agencies in a timely manner.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies, programs, and procedures.
  • Create emergency response plans, hazard communication programs, and other safety protocols.
  • Ensure the facility complies with waste management, air quality standards, and hazardous material handling.
  • Develop and deliver employee training programs on EHS topics, including hazardous materials, equipment safety, and emergency response.
  • Provide coaching and support to supervisors and employees on best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Investigate workplace accidents, injuries, and environmental incidents.
  • Develop corrective action plans to mitigate future risks and monitor implementation.
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents, inspections, and safety reports.
  • Drive a culture of safety by engaging employees in proactive initiatives to reduce risks.
  • Lead safety committee meetings and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Act as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies and local authorities regarding EHS matters.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in EHS management, preferably in industries such as manufacturing, logistics, or oil & gas.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local EHS regulations (OSHA, EPA, Cal/OSHA).
  • Proven experience conducting audits, risk assessments, and training programs.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Certifications such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional), CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager), or similar are preferred.
