Job DescriptionJob Description

We are seeking a Sr. Accountant to join the team in the Hospitality industry located in Grapevine, Texas. The role involves managing general ledger accounting according to GAAP, reconciling accounts, and providing financial reporting for multiple properties. This role also involves reviewing revenue transmissions, invoices, accruals for recording accuracy, and managing cash flow.


Responsibilities:

• Conduct general ledger accounting in accordance with GAAP

• Handle account reconciliations, including cash and credit card bank reconciliations

• Generate financial and statistical reports, including monthly financial packages, for multiple properties

• Review daily revenue transmissions for accuracy

• Examine invoices and accruals for proper recording and conduct monthly review of balance sheet reconciliations

• Oversee cash flow management and monitor disbursements

• Analyze financial statements and provide timely and accurate responses to various requests for explanations

• Understand and comply with occupancy, sales, and use taxes and exemption requirements by state

• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

• Must possess proven skills in Account Reconciliation

• Capable of performing Balance Sheet Reconciliation tasks efficiently

• Should have hands-on experience with Bank Reconciliations

• Must have a strong understanding of General Ledger management

• Able to prepare and manage Journal Entries accurately

• Must have experience in handling Month End Close procedures

• Should be capable of preparing Consolidated Financial Statements

• Must have a thorough understanding of GAAP Accounting principles

• Proficiency in MS Dynamics NAV is a plus

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required

• Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the Financial Services industry

• CPA certification is preferred
