Job DescriptionJob Description

We are looking for a short-term geology technician to start Monday, December 2, 2024.  The position is entry-level and pays $20/hour.  This is a temporary position for the next 3-4 weeks (possibly longer) at 30-40 hours per week. 

 

This person would be responsible for: 

  • Using a task-specific rock saw, cutting cores (cylinders of rock) extracted by onsite drillers
  • Sampling the cut core (based on the Geologists instructions)
  • Handling/organizing the RC drill samples
  • Following core cutting and material handling SOPs to ensure safety

Must be safety conscious.  Previous relevant experience operating saws and power tools preferred. Job requirements are to lift 50 lbs throughout the workday.
