Job Title:Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) School-Based
Location:Baltimore, MD
Position Type:Full-Time

Overview:

We are actively looking for a compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our Baltimore team in a full-time capacity. In this role, you will deliver individualized speech and language services to students, helping them overcome communication challenges and reach their academic potential. Working as part of a dedicated team, youll collaborate with staff, students, and families to provide essential support.

Primary Duties:
  • Evaluation and Planning:Conduct thorough assessments of students' speech and language needs, creating personalized treatment plans that address specific communication goals.
  • Therapeutic Intervention:Deliver speech and language therapy that includes interventions for articulation, language processing, social communication, and fluency based on individual needs.
  • Team Collaboration:Work alongside teachers, special education staff, and families to incorporate communication strategies into daily classroom activities. Participate in IEP meetings, sharing insights and recommendations for student support.
  • Documentation and Progress Tracking:Maintain detailed records of therapy sessions, student progress, and treatment plans. Prepare progress reports and documentation for IEP meetings.
  • Ongoing Learning:Stay updated on advancements in speech-language pathology and school-based therapy. Participate in professional development to continually enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • Education:Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure:Current Speech-Language Pathologist license in Maryland.
  • Certification:Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA is preferred.
  • Experience:Previous experience in a school setting or working with children is highly valued.
  • Skills:Proficiency in speech and language intervention techniques, strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
