Join Our Team as a Pharmacy Technician - Full-Time Temp-to-Perm Opportunity in Austin, TX
Position Details:
- Employment Type: Full-Time, Temp-to-Perm
- Pharmacy Hours:
- Monday, Tuesday, & Friday: 9 AM - 5:30 PM
- Wednesday & Thursday: 9 AM - 8:30 PM
- Saturday: 9 AM - 1 PM
- Note: Some travel may be required to support additional pharmacy locations in Austin.
About Us: We are a Specialty Pharmacy utilizing the Pioneer RX system, dedicated to providing exceptional pharmaceutical care to our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately prepare medications through counting, pouring, mixing, and packaging.
- Label containers and input prescription data into our computer system.
- Verify insurance benefits and manage payment transactions at the Point of Service (POS).
- Build and maintain positive relationships with patients, case managers, and insurance providers.
- Coordinate the delivery of prescriptions and handle routine reports and correspondence.
- Proactively resolve issues while aligning with our companys core values.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; an Associate's degree in a health-related field is preferred.
- Minimum of one year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Must be registered with the Texas Board of Pharmacy (BOP) and hold State Certification.
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification is a plus.
- Proficiency in English; bilingual candidates, especially in Spanish, are encouraged to apply.
- Strong skills in MS Office and familiarity with pharmacy software preferred.
- Must have reliable transportation and a positive, adaptable mindset.
