Position Snapshot:

  • Position: Paraprofessional
  • Location: Maple Grove, MN
  • Type: Full-Time, On-Site Role
  • Work Days: Monday-Friday

Job Responsibilities:

  • Classroom Support: Aid teachers with lesson preparation, classroom management, and maintaining an organized environment.
  • Direct Student Assistance: Provide support for students in small groups or individually, especially for those with specific needs.
  • Positive Behavior Reinforcement: Use behavior management techniques to encourage a safe and structured learning space.
  • Collaborate with Staff: Work closely with school staff to foster students' academic and social success.
  • Facilitate Social Growth: Support students during transitions, class participation, and social interactions.
  • Family Liaison: Help communicate student progress to families alongside teachers.

Requirements:

  • Educational Background: High school diploma or GED required; additional coursework in education or child development is beneficial.
  • Preferred Experience: Experience in a classroom or educational setting is an advantage.
  • Skills Needed: Excellent communication, teamwork, flexibility, and a commitment to fostering student growth.
