Job Overview:
Soliant Education is currently seeking a dedicatedSchool Psychologistfor afull-time, onsiteposition inZion, MDfor the2024-2025 school year. This is a contract role offering competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits. The selected candidate will work closely with students, staff, and families to provide psychological services that support students' academic, emotional, and behavioral development.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psycho-educational assessments to evaluate students cognitive, emotional, and behavioral needs.
  • Provide individual and group counseling to students to address mental health, social-emotional development, and coping skills.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and 504 Plans.
  • Provide consultation and support to school staff on best practices for addressing student behavior, learning challenges, and mental health needs.
  • Develop and implement behavioral intervention plans (BIPs) for students requiring additional support.
  • Offer crisis intervention and counseling services as needed.
  • Conduct classroom observations and work with teachers to promote positive behavioral strategies.
  • Participate in school-wide initiatives to support mental health and foster a positive school climate.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, counseling sessions, and other services provided.

Requirements:

  • Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology.
  • Valid Maryland School Psychologist certification (or eligibility).
  • Experience working as a school psychologist, preferably in a K-12 setting.
  • Strong knowledge of special education regulations, including IEPs and 504 Plans.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and school staff.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain a caseload effectively.
  • Compassionate, patient, and committed to supporting the mental health and well-being of students.
