Supporting Student Success: Paraprofessional Aide (Elementary) - Soliant Education (Applegate Corner, NY Area)

Are you a patient and enthusiastic individual seeking a rewarding opportunity to support an elementary school student in a nurturing school environment?

Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated Paraprofessional Aide to join our team in the friendly Applegate Corner, NY area This full-time, in-person position for the 2024-2025 school year offers a unique chance to make a positive impact on the life of an elementary school student by providing one-on-one support throughout the school day.

What You'll Do:

  • Work directly with an assigned elementary school student, providing individualized support and guidance throughout the school day.
  • Assist the student with classroom activities, academic tasks, and social interactions, fostering their learning and participation.
  • Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs) in collaboration with teachers and other professionals.
  • Utilize a variety of instructional materials and strategies to cater to the student's specific learning needs and styles.
  • Create a positive and encouraging learning environment for the student, promoting their self-esteem, independence, and social-emotional development.
  • Maintain clear and consistent munication with teachers, parents, and other staff regarding the student's progress and well-being.
  • Document student progress and collaborate with the team to ensure a cohesive approach to supporting the student's success.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior experience working with children in an educational setting is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of child development and a passion for fostering a love of learning.
  • Excellent munication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with students, parents, teachers, and other school staff.
  • Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude to effectively support diverse student needs.
  • Ability to follow instructions, maintain confidentiality, and adhere to professional ethics.
