We are seeking a qualified Special Education Teacher for a self-contained classroom focused on students with social, emotional and behavioral issues. As a key member of our educational team, you will create a supportive and structured learning environment tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with social-emotional and behavioral challenges.
  • Provide direct instruction and support in a self-contained classroom setting.
  • Collaborate with parents, school staff, and other professionals to address students' academic, behavioral, and emotional needs.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adapting instruction as necessary to ensure educational growth.
  • Create and maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning and personal development.

Requirements:

  • Education: Master's Degree preferred
  • Certification:ActiveArizona Special Education Teaching License/Certificate is required. (Please provide proof of active certification with your application.)
  • Experience: Previous experience working with students with social-emotional and behavioral needs preferred.
  • Skills: Strong munication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to create and implement effective behavior management strategies.
  • Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and obtain appropriate clearances as required by state law.
  • AZ Fingerprint Card needed
