Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual to join our team as a Vac Truck Operator. The role involves operating vacuum trucks to perform tasks such as vacuuming water from storm drains and cleaning out industrial tanks. This position requires daily inspections of the truck’s fluids, belts, and hoses, as well as setting up and breaking down hoses for vacuum operations. Candidates must be comfortable working at heights and capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities
  • Operate vacuum trucks with 2500-gallon tanks to clean storm drains and industrial tanks.
  • Conduct daily inspections of truck fluids, belts, and hoses.
  • Drive the vacuum truck to job locations and set up hoses from the truck to the cleaning site.
  • Monitor vacuum operations and ensure proper functioning.
  • Break down hose setup and store hoses after completing the job.
  • Dump the truck by using a trolling motor to vacuum up waste from holding tanks.
  • Perform additional tasks such as sweeping, cleaning up spills, and other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Essential Skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable working at heights up to 100 feet on fully guarded platforms.
  • Must have at least 1 year of consistent general labor work history.
  • Steel toe boots are required.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Agricultural experience preferred but not necessary.
  • Experience in general labor, production, and industrial work.

You will receive comprehensive OSHA 10 training during your first week to ensure a safe and knowledgeable start. Work Environment

The work environment is not climate-controlled, so expect hot conditions in the summer and cold conditions in the winter. You will spend approximately 20% of your time working outdoors. The shift schedule consists of 4 ten-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, either Monday to Thursday or Tuesday to Friday, depending on your preference. Steel toe boots are mandatory for this position.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Blair, Nebraska.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00
