Job Description:
Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to join a supportive school district in Big Flats, New York. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a passionate individual who values student well-being and is skilled in providing assessments, counseling, and collaborative support. The School Psychologist will play a key role in helping students overcome social, emotional, and academic challenges to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological and educational assessments.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop and implement IEPs and 504 plans.
- Provide individual and group counseling to support students emotional and behavioral needs.
- Offer crisis intervention and support conflict resolution as needed.
- Utilize data to monitor and adjust interventions for student progress.
- Promote a safe and inclusive environment that encourages student well-being and success.
- Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings and professional development.
Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology.
- Valid New York State certification or eligibility for certification as a School Psychologist.
- Prior experience in a school setting is preferred.
- Proficiency in assessment tools and intervention strategies.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Commitment to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
