Job Title: Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)

Location: Sycamore, Illinois
Openings: 1 Position Available
Contract Duration: ASAP - May 30, 2025

Exciting Opportunity for a Teacher of the Visually Impaired
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with visual impairments? Join us as a TVI and provide essential support to students across various districts in Lake and Cook County. This part-time role offers the potential to grow into a full-time position by the end of the year

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction to students with visual impairments in multiple districts.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to create inclusive learning environments.
  • Assess students' needs and develop individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Provide guidance on assistive technology and adaptive materials.
  • Support students' social and emotional development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education with a focus on visual impairments.
  • Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a TVI endorsement required.

Position Details:

  • Classroom: Itinerantvarious districts in Lake and Cook County
  • Hours per Week: Part-Time (2 days per week)

Weekly Pay: Competitive salary
