Job DescriptionJob Description
Job SummaryThe Medical Assistant supports physicians and healthcare teams in providing high-quality care in a fast-paced outpatient environment. This role involves patient preparation, clinical assistance, and administrative tasks to ensure efficient operations. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and adept at multitasking while maintaining a compassionate approach to patient care.
Key Responsibilities
  • Room patients and prepare them for examinations.
  • Record vital signs and gather medical and medication history.
  • Maintain clean, stocked, and organized exam rooms.
  • Assist physicians with exams, outpatient procedures, and tests.
  • Document patient information accurately using Epic.
  • Perform light administrative duties as needed.
  • Ensure smooth workflow in a fast-paced setting by multitasking effectively.

Required Qualifications
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent certification.
  • Proficiency in using Epic or similar electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
  • Strong multitasking and organizational skills.
  • Experience in an outpatient clinical setting.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with physicians and staff.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience assisting with outpatient procedures and exams.
  • Familiarity with administrative tasks in a healthcare environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a high-paced, patient-focused setting.

Certifications
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent certification (preferred).
