About the Role:
Soliant Education is seeking dedicated and passionate Special Education Teachers to join our team near Prattville, AL. This position focuses primarily on K-12 students, with a majority of roles in self-contained classrooms for elementary and middle school levels, catering to mild to moderate behaviors.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students.
  • Assess students' abilities and tailor educational plans to meet their unique needs.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to ensure a supportive learning environment.
  • Manage classroom behavior and provide a safe, engaging learning atmosphere.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of student progress and behavior.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and training sessions.
  • Advocate for students needs and coordinate with community resources as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Must possess an active Special Education license/certification in Alabama.
  • Experience working with K-12 students, preferably in self-contained settings.
  • Strong understanding of various learning disabilities and effective instructional strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team and engage with families effectively.
