Position Overview:
ProCare Therapy is seeking aCertified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)for a full-time position in Lake Villa, IL. As a COTA, you will work under the guidance of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to help students develop the skills they need for academic success and daily life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students as outlined in their individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Collaborate with the Occupational Therapist to implement treatment plans tailored to each students needs.
- Assist students in improving fine motor skills, sensory processing, and self-regulation techniques.
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records.
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on students progress.
- Communicate effectively with educators, parents, and support staff to ensure consistent care.
Qualifications:
- Associates degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Current licensure or certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in Illinois.
- Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in a school setting.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- A collaborative and patient-focused approach to supporting students.
