JOB SUMMARY:
To take food and drink orders from patrons, to ensure that drinks are prepared and served in a timely
manner. To maintain stock of liquor and bar supplies, and to collect money and account for drinks served.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
● Takes orders from patrons and from waitstaff. Prepares and serves alcoholic drinks, wine, beer,
and soft drinks in a timely manner as requested.
● Is familiar with standard drinks and willing to learn specialty cocktails, maintains supplies
necessary to prepare common cocktails and beverages.
● Balances daily paperwork..
● Prepares fruit and other garnishes as required to accompany drinks.
● Keep the bar stocked with beer, wine, liquor and related supplies such as ice, glassware, napkins
or straws.
● Keep the bar, work areas and tables clean.
● Collects money from patrons and accounts for drinks served.
● Check Identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol
● Is responsible for maintaining a pleasant atmosphere in the bar, refusing to serve drunk or unruly
patrons, and having them removed if necessary.
● Prepares daily drink specials
● Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
● Knowledge of drink preparation and service...
● Must be able to multitask in a very fast paced environment
● Must be able to stand, lift and bend for long periods of time
● Food Handlers certification
● MAST certification

PHYSICAL ABILITY - THE EMPLOYEE MUST HAVE THE ABILITY TO:
● Ability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week
● Be exposed to cold or hot temperature extremes in the walk-in cooler, freezer and/or
outdoors
● Bend at waist with some twisting, stand, stoop and/or walk for an entire shift
● Grasp, reach and manipulate objects with hands continuously throughout the day. (This
requires eye-hand coordination, and may occasionally require climbing a ladder to
store/retrieve materials or place/remove signs)
● Occasionally lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds from ground to waist (to replenish fountain
syrups, ice, etc.)
● Routinely lift and/or carry up to 30 pounds from ground to overhead
(stocking/maintaining inventory levels on the shelves, in the cooler and freezer, etc.)
● Push/pull with arms up to a force of 20 pounds (utilizing a hand-truck, sweep and mop
the floors, etc.)
● Dependability- Job requires being reliable, responsible, and dependable.
● Cooperation- Job requires being pleasant with others on the job and displaying a
good-natured, cooperative attitude.
● Social Orientation- Job requires working with other employees and engaging with
customers on a daily basis.
● Integrity- Job requires being honest and ethical.
● Self-Control- Job requires maintaining composure, keeping emotions in check,
controlling anger and avoiding aggressive behavior when dealing with difficult patrons or
situations.
