Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Payroll Clerk in Salinas, California. The industry this role is based in is the Human Resources sector, where the successful candidate will be responsible for processing payroll, maintaining employee payroll files and reports, and responding to payroll inquiries. This role does not require any physical presence at the office, therefore, it is a fully remote position.

Responsibilities:
• Process multi-state payroll following federal and state guidelines
• Handle garnishments and employment verifications accurately
• Respond promptly and professionally to all payroll inquiries
• Carry out administrative data entry tasks as necessary
• Assist in conducting payroll audits to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Maintain confidentiality and security of employees' payroll information
• Utilize various accounting software systems for efficient processing
• Use Microsoft Excel for data management and reporting
• Manage and resolve issues in ADP - Financial Services and Ceridian software
• Maintain and audit accounting functions regularly for accuracy.• Must possess a minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role as a Payroll Clerk
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required
• Experience with ADP - Financial Services is essential
• Knowledge of Ceridian and Dayforce software is advantageous
• Familiarity with About Time software would be beneficial
• Must be able to perform Accounting Functions effectively
• Should have experience in Auditing
• Understanding of Benefit Functions is expected
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must
• Candidates must have legal authorization to work in the country
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal
• Should be a team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Candidates should be professional and maintain confidentiality at all times
• Must be able to handle sensitive information with discretion
• Excellent attention to detail and time management skills are essential
• Should be able to work independently and take initiative when necessary.
