Aerotek is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician (direct-hire) for a food processing plant.

The maintenance technician will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining food processing equipment such as slicers, conveyor systems, extruders, fillers, labelers, thermoform and tray sealing packaging systems, X-ray, metal detectors, and other equipment.

 

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance of production equipment such as meat stuffers, grinders, vacuum sealers, flow wrappers, vertical baggers, rotary pouches, automated slicers, tray sealers, and other equipment found in a meat processing and slicing facility.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on facility utility systems.
  • Willing to work overtime as required at times.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of maintenance experience in a food processing setting.
  • Knowledge of PLC and electrical troubleshooting and servo drivers
  • Skilled in diagnosing problems with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Skilled in electrical troubleshooting of control circuits and able to work safely with single and three-phase voltages up to 480 volts.
  • Experience in basic TIG welding repairs.
  • Experience repairing and replacing mechanical drive components including bearings, chains, sprockets, and gear reducers.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with Italian or German manufacturing equipment is a plus
  • 2 year technical degree or related certifications or training is a plus
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work in tight spaces or on platforms.
  • Desire to learn, grow, and contribute to a team-based and fast-paced environment.

Shift 6:00am - 3:00pm Mon-Friday + Overtime: (Possible OT up to 10 hours per week).

Pay: $33-36/ hour /, might be some flexibility of paying more DOE. Direct-hire not a contract-to-hire

Screening: interview by appointments and if an offer its extended candidate must be willing to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and bac ground check.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $68556.00 - $74880.00
