Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated General Production Worker for our 1st shift from 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday. The ideal candidate will be responsible for selecting saw blades, setting up CNC saws, positioning machine guides, and maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.

Responsibilities
  • Select saw blade according to type of cut specified on work order and safely attach the blade to the saw.
  • Use programmable displays on CNC saws to set-up and cut materials.
  • Position guides on machine table according to specifications of cut, and turn knobs to set guides or bolt guides in place.
  • Establish cutting parameters to achieve maximum quality.
  • Maintain a safe working area and follow established safe work practices.
  • Measure cut material with ruler, tape measure, caliper or square to verify dimensions against specifications.
  • Use computer or bar code scanner to enter records, track material, and control inventory.
  • Pull stock and restock from/to storage locations, remove cut stock from machine, and maintain production count.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and other routine maintenance on equipment as needed or prescribed in work instructions.
  • Perform duties of a general warehouse worker as required.
Essential Skills
  • Ability to select and attach saw blades safely.
  • Proficiency in using programmable displays on CNC saws.
  • Skill in positioning machine guides and setting cutting parameters.
  • Knowledge of safe work practices and maintaining a safe working area.
  • Accuracy in measuring cut materials against specifications.
  • Computer literacy for entering records and tracking inventory.
  • Experience in pulling and restocking stock from/to storage locations.
  • Ability to perform preventative and routine maintenance on equipment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with CNC Router and general machining operations.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
  • Packaging and general labor skills.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00
