Job Details:
  • Role: Provide specialized instruction to students who are deaf or hard of hearing from birth through 12th grade. Positions are available for both classroom and itinerant settings.
  • Responsibilities:
    • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs.
    • Deliver engaging and effective instruction in various subjects, ensuring accessibility for DHH students.
    • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to support student success.
    • Conduct assessments and monitor student progress, making necessary adjustments to instructional methods.
    • Facilitate communication through American Sign Language (ASL) and other methods as appropriate.
Requirements:
  • Valid certification to teach Deaf and Hard of Hearing students.
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL).
  • Experience working with DHH students preferred.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
