Soliant Education is seeking a passionate and dedicated High School Special Education Teacher to join our team near Narberth, PA 19072. This full-time position offers an excellent opportunity to support high school students with diverse learning needs in an inclusive and dynamic educational environment. We are weling applications from individuals who hold an Emergency Teaching Certification and are passionate about making a difference in the lives of students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Individualized Education Plans (IEPs): Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs tailored to the unique academic and social-emotional needs of high school students.
- Specialized Instruction: Provide targeted instruction in both individual and group settings to students with varying disabilities, ensuring they receive the acmodations and modifications necessary to succeed in their coursework.
- Classroom Management: Foster a positive, structured, and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and academic growth.
- Collaboration: Work closely with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers to ensure that students receive appropriate support and interventions within the least restrictive environment.
- Behavioral Support: Implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) as needed to support student behavior and foster social-emotional development.
- Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess student performance through data collection and adjust instructional methods based on student progress toward IEP goals.
- Parent munication: Maintain regular munication with parents and guardians regarding student progress, challenges, and strategies for support both at school and at home.
Qualifications:
- A valid Emergency Teaching Certification in Pennsylvania (required).
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or a related field (preferred but not required with emergency certification).
- Experience working with high school students with disabilities is a plus.
- Strong understanding of IEP development, behavior management strategies, and differentiated instruction.
- Excellent munication and collaboration skills.
- A passion for working with students with special needs and a desire to help them succeed academically and socially.
