Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Sr. Tax Accountant in Mechanicsville, Virginia. This role involves a variety of responsibilities within the accounting industry, including the processing of individual and partnership tax returns, and the use of specific software such as CCH ProSystem Fx and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities:
• Accurately process individual and partnership tax returns.
• Utilize CCH ProSystem Fx software for various accounting tasks.
• Apply strong knowledge of S-Corps and Partnership Returns in daily tasks.
• Use Microsoft Excel for maintaining accurate customer credit records.
• Address and resolve customer inquiries pertaining to their tax returns.
• Monitor customer tax accounts and take appropriate actions when necessary.
• Ensure all customer records are maintained accurately and efficiently.
• Stay updated on the latest tax laws and regulations to provide accurate information to customers.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure a smooth workflow.
• Identify potential tax credits and liabilities, ensuring accurate and complete returns are filed in a timely manner.• Must possess a comprehensive understanding of tax regulations, specifically Individual Tax and Partnership Tax Returns
• Proficient in working with S-Corps and Partnership Returns
• Expertise in using CCH ProSystem Fx tax software is essential
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and formulas
• Must have the ability to interpret and analyze complex financial data
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required for client interactions
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all work
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proven record of managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines
• Must have a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) designation is highly desirable
• Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a tax accounting role.
