Special Education Teacher - Autism Focus

We are urgently seeking a certified Special Education Teacher for the 2024-2025 school year to join our team and work with young students with Autism.

Position Details:

  • Schedule: Full-time for the entire 2024-2025 school year
  • Age Group: Birth through Kindergarten
  • Classroom Ratio: 8 students, 1 teacher, 2 aides (currently, the class has 5 students, and the aides are already in place)
  • Focus: Specialized instruction for young children with Autism

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to the needs of young students with Autism.
  • Provide structured and supportive instruction in a small classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with classroom aides to ensure a safe and effective learning environment.
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed.
  • Engage with parents and other educators to support student development and success.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education Teaching Certification
  • Experience working with students with Autism, particularly in early childhood settings
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Dedication to creating an inclusive and nurturing educational environment
