Virtual School Psychologist in Maine

We are actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Psychologist to join our esteemed team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in supporting the mental health and educational growth of our students. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide array of psychological services aimed at empowering students to achieve their fullest potential.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to identify students' needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
  • Provide individual and group counseling to students to address emotional, social, and behavioral issues.
  • Offer crisis intervention and support as needed.
  • Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop strategies for improving classroom management and promoting positive behaviors.
  • Facilitate communication between the school, parents, and external mental health professionals.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to student support plans.
  • Conduct workshops and training sessions for staff and parents on topics such as child development, behavior management, and mental health awareness.
  • Keep accurate and confidential records of student interactions and progress.
  • Stay current with research and best practices in school psychology and participate in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications:

  • Education Specialistor Doctorate degree in School Psychologyfrom an accredited institution.
  • Active Maine license with a School Psychology certificate required
  • Valid NCSP credential from NASP optional
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a school setting preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools and techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, educators, and administrators.
  • Demonstrated understanding of child and adolescent development.
  • Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within the school community.
  • Fast/reliable computer & internet connection
    • No Chromebooks/tablets permitted

  • Hourly Rate: $45-$55
    • Hourly rate consistent across direct/indirect hours/planning periods
