We are offering a contract to permanent opportunity for a Payroll Clerk position in Las Vegas, Nevada. This role operates within a dynamic environment that demands strong Excel skills, a good understanding of accounting and at least 2 years of Payroll processing experience. The Payroll Clerk will be tasked with managing weekly payroll for 200 employees across multiple states, including weekly payroll with commissions. The ideal Payroll Clerk will have full cycle payroll experience, a strong understand of VLOOKUPs and formulas, and the ability to work in environment with very tight deadlines.
Payroll Clerk's Responsibilities:
• Oversee the processing of weekly payroll for 200 employees across multiple states.
• Utilize Excel to manage payroll, requiring proficiency in formulas, VLOOKUP, and if statements.
• Collaborate effectively with the sales team to ensure accurate and timely commission payments.
• Utilize Paychex to process payroll, ensuring smooth operations and accurate payments.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel to consolidate multiple payroll sheets into one.
• Regularly review and update payroll procedures, always seeking more efficient and effective methods.
• Maintain an open line of communication, asking questions when necessary and being open to feedback and new ideas.
• Exhibit a strong team player attitude, contributing to the overall success of our team.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Payroll experience.
• Familiarity with Multi-state Payroll and Multistate Payroll procedures.
• Ability to accurately Reconcile Payroll figures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, specifically with Excel Formulas and VLOOKUP function.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
