Overview:
Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate Paraprofessional for a 1:1 role with a male elementary student. This is a full-time, contract position for the 2024-2025 school year, offering 35 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students who exhibit aggressive behaviors at times, while still being very friendly and engaging. If you are passionate about supporting students and making a positive impact in a classroom setting, we encourage you to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one support to a male elementary student with behavioral needs.
- Assist the student in managing and responding to any behavioral challenges.
- Help the student with academic tasks, providing individualized support as directed by the teacher.
- Foster a positive and nurturing environment to encourage learning and emotional development.
- Implement behavioral management strategies and interventions as needed.
- municate effectively with teachers, parents, and staff to ensure the students success.
- Assist with classroom activities and help maintain a structured and safe environment.
Requirements:
- Experience working with students who display behavioral challenges, particularly aggressive behaviors.
- Patience, empathy, and a strong desire to make a positive impact on student development.
- Ability to implement behavior management techniques and follow through with strategies.
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associates Degree or higher preferred).
- Previous paraprofessional or classroom experience is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Background check and required certifications (such as paraprofessional certification) may be required.
