Job Description:
As a Virtual School Psychologist working with Kansas schools, you will provide critical support to students, teachers, and parents in an online environment. You will help ensure that students receive the psychological services they need to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct Virtual Assessments and Evaluations:
Perform comprehensive psychological and educational assessments to identify students' learning disabilities, behavioral challenges, and emotional needs. Develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and provide recommendations for intervention strategies to support student growth.Offer Counseling and Support:
Provide one-on-one and group counseling to students facing academic, social, and emotional challenges. Guide students in building coping strategies, improving their mental well-being, and overcoming barriers to learning.Collaborate with Educators and Families:
Work closely with teachers, school staff, and parents to create supportive learning environments. Provide consultation on classroom management strategies, behavioral interventions, and ways to boost student engagement. Collaborate with Kansas education teams to ensure compliance with state-specific guidelines and standards.Develop and Implement Mental Health Programs:
Create and implement programs to promote positive mental health, anti-bullying initiatives, and strategies for addressing issues such as substance abuse and stress management. Conduct professional development workshops for staff, and educational sessions for parents and students on a variety of psychological and emotional topics.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in School Psychology or related field.
- Active Kansas School Psychologist license or eligibility for licensure.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a school setting, with virtual experience preferred.
- Expertise in performing psychological assessments and creating individualized intervention plans.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively in a virtual environment.
- Reliable high-speed internet and technology setup for virtual sessions.
