Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in Lexington, KY. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and upkeeping a variety of commercial properties, including the downtown 5/3 building and other locations as needed. This role requires expertise in multiple areas such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and basic carpentry.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair HVAC equipment.
  • Repair or replace plumbing fixtures, including commodes, faucets, drains, and piping.
  • Repair or replace electrical fixtures and appliances, including lighting, safety devices, panels, switches, and outlets.
  • Perform basic carpentry tasks, such as caulking, ceramic tile repairs and replacements, ceiling, window, and door repairs.
  • Conduct routine preventative maintenance on mission-critical equipment.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in HVAC maintenance and repair.
  • Knowledge of plumbing systems and fixtures.
  • Ability to maintain and repair electrical systems.
  • Basic carpentry skills.
  • EPA Universal Refrigeration License preferred.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5 years of full-time relevant experience or a combination of education and experience (2-year degree in a related technical or vocational field, and 3 years of experience).
  • Self-starter with strong communication and time management skills.
  • Ability to perform duties requiring medium to heavy exertion, work in cramped or overhead spaces, and work on ladders for extended periods of time.

Work Environment

You will be working in downtown Lexington at large commercial properties. Familiarize yourself with building codes and tenants on each floor, as well as other properties managed by the company in Lexington. The role includes a 40-hour work week with a rotating on-call schedule, including after-hours emergencies during your assigned week.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lexington, Kentucky.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00
