Remote Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) | 3.5 Days Per Week

Start Date: ASAP
End Date: 6/12/24

Location: Remote (Serving Philadelphia, PA school district)

Position Type: Independent Contract (Part-Time)

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)for the remainder of the school year. This position is based witha Title I schooland provides services to students in grades K-5. The SLP will be working with a more severe population of students, including a significant number of AAC users, and will need to be comfortable providing virtual AAC support.

Hours:

  • 3.5 days per week (no flexibility for more or less hours).
  • School Day: 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM
  • Services are typically provided between 8:30 AM - 2:45 PM. SLP must be available during the designated service hours.

Caseload:

  • 13 students per day, totaling up to 13 students per week, depending on the number of days the SLP signs on for.
  • Caseload includes students with various diagnoses including ASD, OHI, and SLD.
  • Must have experience working with AAC users, particularly providing virtual support.

Workload:

  • Most students on the caseload have speech as a secondary disability, with only a few being speech-only.
  • SLP will not be a case manager for these students.
  • Progress monitoring occurs quarterly, with no expectation to pull students ahead of time to write progress notes.
  • No Medicaid billing required.
  • Referrals are managed in such a way that no new students will be added if your daily caseload is at the maximum.
  • The EdPlan IEP system is used for documentation.
  • A paraprofessional will assist in facilitating sessions.
  • No comp minutes owed as of December, and all evaluations are compliant.

Qualifications:

  • Required:
  • CCC-SLP (Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology)
  • PA Teaching Certificate
  • ALL required PA Clearances
  • Previous virtual SLP experience is preferred, but not mandatory (candidates with virtual experience will be prioritized).
  • Desired:
  • Experience working with students who use AAC.
  • Strong communication skills, flexibility, and the ability to engage with a diverse student population.

    Pay:

    • Up to $55/hour
    • Covers direct and indirect services
    • Paid weekly
