Job Description

Join the maintenance team in the refrigeration department of a food manufacturing facility. As a Refrigeration Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the refrigerators are operational throughout the plant. You will also transfer between the facility and the distribution center across the street. This position follows a 2-2-3 schedule, working from 6pm to 6am, with every other weekend being a 3-day weekend, providing 15 days off a month.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and troubleshoot refrigeration systems in the food manufacturing plant.
  • Ensure the refrigerators are up and running throughout the facility.
  • Transfer between the facility and the distribution center as needed.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, boiler, and ammonia refrigeration equipment.
  • Install and maintain HVAC equipment.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and repairs on industrial refrigeration systems.
Essential Skills
  • Experience with refrigeration, HVAC, and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of industrial refrigeration equipment and refrigerants.
  • Experience with preventive maintenance and boiler systems.
  • Familiarity with pneumatics and ammonia refrigeration.
  • EPA License.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Certifications such as CERO, CARO, and LLAR are a plus.
  • Experience with steam and chiller systems.

Work Environment

Work in a dynamic and stable food manufacturing facility. The maintenance crew operates on a 2-2-3 schedule, 6pm-6am, allowing for ample time off, including every other weekend being a 3-day weekend. The facility and distribution center are located across the street from each other, facilitating easy transfer between sites.
