Job Description

Coordinates and dispatches customers’ shipments following customers’ delivery requirements and warehouse policy. The Traffic Clerk communicates with and coordinates various warehouse departments, customers, and carriers regarding truck shipments and receipts. Responsibilities also include answering phone calls and operating various types of office equipment necessary to perform duties.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and dispatch customer shipments based on delivery requirements and warehouse policy.
  • Communicate and coordinate with warehouse departments, customers, and carriers regarding truck shipments and receipts.
  • Answer phone calls and operate office equipment necessary to perform duties.
  • Handle shipping and receiving tasks efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate inventory control and documentation.
  • Provide excellent customer service through inbound calls and other forms of communication.
Essential Skills
  • 1+ years of experience as a shipping and receiving clerk.
  • 6+ months of customer service experience.
  • Proficiency in shipping and receiving, logistics, office administration.
  • Strong skills in inventory control, data entry, and documentation.
  • Ability to manage multiple screens and interact with customers in person, over the phone, and via email.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to follow up aggressively.
  • Must be able to perform several job functions simultaneously.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work a flexible work schedule and shift, including weekends if needed.
Work Environment

The position is based indoors in a cold storage facility, with temperatures around 30 degrees. Shift schedules may change, with available shifts including: 1st Shift: 6am-3:30pm, 2nd Shift: 3:30pm-12am, and 3rd Shift: 11pm/12am-7:30am.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00
