Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are inviting applications for the role of Data Governance Analyst, based in Houston, Texas. If you have a knack for analyzing complex business problems and formulating business systems, this role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in leading our data governance initiative, engaging with various business units to gather and document requirements for technological solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Drive the establishment and maintenance of robust data governance frameworks, ensuring data quality, consistency, and security across the organization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to pinpoint areas of improvement, assess options, and coordinate with data engineers to implement solutions.
• Lead the development and implementation of data governance standards and frameworks.
• Establish data governance policies and procedures in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Regularly perform audits and validation processes to ensure data quality and integrity.
• Develop and maintain data documentation, including data dictionaries and metadata repositories.
• Identify data governance issues and lead initiatives to address and resolve them.
• Promote awareness and best practices for data governance across the organization.
• Monitor compliance with data governance policies and report on key metrics.
• Provide training and support to stakeholders on data governance processes and tools.• Proficiency in Atlassian Jira is necessary for effective project management
• Extensive knowledge of BusinessObjects Technologies is required
• Demonstrated experience with Database management is expected
• Familiarity with EO/IR systems is a must
• Proficiency in Erwin Data modeling tools is necessary
• Prior experience in AB Testing is expected
• Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodologies is required for efficient project management
• Proficiency in Business Intelligence (BI) tools is necessary for data analysis
• Ability to create Business Requirement Documents is a must for clear communication of project details
• Proven experience in creating dashboards for data visualization is required
