LHH is partnering with a client in the Manufacturing industry in Gardner, KS area to fill their Payroll Clerk role. The Payroll Clerk’s responsibility is to oversee the payroll process, ensure employees are paid timely & accurately, maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations and assist employees with payroll related inquiries/issues.

Responsibilities:
  • Collecting and verifying timekeeping information for all employees
  • Calculating pay according to hours worked, overtime, and deductions.
  • Entering payroll data into the system and maintaining payroll records
  • Preparing and distributing paychecks and direct deposit statements
  • Responding to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations
  • Assisting with payroll audits and reporting

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred
  • At least 2-3 years of previous multi-state payroll experience
  • Proficiency in payroll software (ADP, Paycor, Workday)
  • Certified Payroll Professional Certification (CPP) Fundamental Payroll Professional (FPC) preferred, not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

Job Details:
Job Title: Payroll Clerk
Location: Gardner, KS
Compensation: $55-62,000 annually
Job Type: Contract to Hire
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm (Hybrid)
Benefits: Health, Dental, Vision, STD/LTD
 

Pay Details: $55,000.00 to $62,000.00 per year
