Job Description

We are looking for a skilled stand-up forklift operator to join our receiving department for the 2nd shift. This role requires availability for the evening shift and involves continuous movement, primarily operating a forklift. When not on the forklift, light housekeeping duties in the work area will be required. Basic math skills and proficiency in operating an RF scan gun are essential. This position is in a cold storage environment, and steel-toed boots are required.

2nd. shift: 4pm - Until work is done (normally 9-12 hours long shift)

Responsibilities
  • Operate a stand-up forklift in the receiving department.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties in the work area when not on the forklift.
  • Use an RF scan gun to manage inventory and shipments.
  • Load and unload goods using a stand-up forklift and electric pallet jack.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
Essential Skills
  • 1-2 years of experience operating a stand-up forklift.
  • Proficiency in operating an RF scan gun.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Receiving and loading experience.
  • Ability to work evening shifts.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with an electric pallet jack (preferred).
  • Dedication to completing work efficiently and accurately.

Work Environment

The work environment is a food distribution company with a constant temperature of 35 degrees. Contractors are provided with jackets and cotton gloves. Employees must bring their own steel-toed boots and can wear their own sweatshirts and hats. No certifications or medical requirements are necessary.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Swedesboro, New Jersey.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00
