LHH is partnering with a company that prides themselves on being at the forefront of innovation and excellence. Our client is currently seeking a meticulous and proactive Staff Accountant to join their team and play a pivotal role in their annual audit process. This position is essential for maintaining the integrity and accuracy of their financial records. Our client offers a very competitive compensation package and a hybrid and flexible work schedule.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate the annual audit, ensuring all necessary documentation and information are provided promptly.

  • Conduct detailed testing of financial statements, including reconciling bank accounts, verifying fixed assets, and performing inventory audits.

  • Assess and document the effectiveness of internal controls to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

  • Cross-reference financial statement figures with audit work papers to ensure consistency and accuracy.

  • Maintain adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other relevant regulatory requirements.

  • Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements to ensure they are accurate and compliant with legal standards.

  • Utilize advanced Excel skills to analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.

  • Work closely with the finance team and other departments to gather necessary information and support various accounting functions.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.

  • Experience working in a public accounting firm is a plus

  • CPA candidate or actively pursuing CPA certification is preferred.

 

Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.



Pay Details: $39.00 to $43.00 per hour
